Rest in Peace


There are a number of interesting symbols carved in old headstones in our cemeteries in Nova Scotia. You'll see an open Bible, clasped hands, weeping willow and the finger pointing to Heaven.

    I live it too John. Was impressed with his direction in life/death and wondered if they come pointing the other way?

    I take my dog for a walk every day in a old cemetery near my house. I can not stop reading all the interesting headstones. Nice shot.

    Wonderful shot, it's in remarkable condition. The finger pointing is something I've never seen.

    The headstone looks almost new in this crisp photo. I have never seen the finger pointing to heaven before.
