Childhood Favourite 48

I saw Debbie taking pictures of her childhood stuff and that got me thinking of stamp hinges and soaking stamps in cups of water.

Faded 89

My memory has faded along with the paint on this old barn . What do you call the piece of wood used to close the door?

123 Go Fish

I love boats even though I get seasick standing too close to a bathtub. Today was a fine day for fishing ... clear blue sky ... no wind. Who wants to go with??

Musical Instrument

I spent part of the day subbing at a nearby school. The Grade 6 teacher let me take a picture of his guitar. I didn't like the yellows so I tried a monotone.

Mechanisms

This machine is used to pull small boats out of the water. We have 6 foot(2 meter) tides so a crank like this can be a big help.

Rest in Peace

There are a number of interesting symbols carved in old headstones in our cemeteries in Nova Scotia. You'll see an open Bible, clasped hands, weeping willow and the finger pointing to Heaven.

Rusted

There is an old metal hay raker in a field near our home. I like the shape and colour of the old cast iron seat.

Metallic

It was time to get the car safety inspected. This shot may not be that pretty but believe me... It was expensive.

Feathers

With millions watching Washington today I thought this image was appropriate.
For the last few years a few bald eagles have been showing up at the mouth of the LaHave River.

Angels or Devils

A long time ago humans decided to drag a wolf pup into the cave..... But we never ever domesticated the cat. When mamkind started to grow crops and store food, the Cat just followed the mice.

Our house is over 100 years old and I'm really impressed with the stone wall in our basement.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.
I was shocked to see this sign on a wharf where minutes ago I had listened to a fisherman complain about poor lobster sales.
Or maybe this is just the beginning.. Coffee shops will put up signs: No Wine Sold Here.

Adolescence

I know it's a stretch but humour me. Wait until your significant other is not around and find a wine glass. two forks ( silver is best). a round toothpick and a cork. Set this up and when they return.... if they say.... Grow Up!...

Abstract

I took a picture of some rope and a lobster shell on the wharf yesterday. I wanted to play with the colours and ended up using a program called Fotoflex.

Abandoned

This old house next to the wharf at Bush Island must have belonged to a fisherman.

Pair of

I thought a pair of schooners would make a nice Lunenburg entry.
I expect Grant is saying that going from pictures of pennies to dimes is not much of a SHIFT....

Jipzee

I have a hard time getting a picture of Jipzee. He doesn't like the camera.

Penny Pryamid

Debby was working on doing a picture of 100 objects. I thought I'd use the 100 pennies for my Fractions work. I ended up with this picture for tenths.

Frosty Day

I have decided to join Jeff and Debbie with their Photo Challenge. Debbie is following the Theme Challenge listed on Jeff's site. I'm going to try adding a photo a day.
