Fruits of the Season # 114

It's an annual event here. Early in October I look forward to getting a phone call from a neighbour. He needs a crew to help load his biggest pumpkin and squash . Then it's off to the weigh in at the Windsor Fair.

  1. Hate to tell you but don't come to Australia where Pumpkins is Vegetables. It is part of a staple Baked Dinner or Roast as some people call it and is baked besides the potato which it compliments in both taste and texture!

  2. I'm not sure I have ever seen pumpkins that large, WOW, if you dropped one of those on your foot it sure would hurt! ;)

  3. How much did it weigh? The largest one at the Berlin Fair this year was 576 lb.
