Blackbird


The male was too shy but a was able to take a picture of this female redwing blackbird. She had mouths to feed back at the nest and didn't have time to worry about me and my camera.

I found this fellow in my garden this morning. I popped him into a white plastic container and tooik a few pictures.

We visited an old Mi'Kmaq and Acadian cemetery in Petite Riviere that dates back to the 17th century.

Anchor


The anchor of the CSS Acadia. Launched in 1913 it is the only survivinge ship to have served the Canadian Navy in both world wars.

The Acadia is tied up at the Museum of the Atlantic wharf in Halifax.
