Today was a great day for a walk in the woods. The sun was shining and there wasn't a breath of wind. The ground was still frozen and there wasn't a sound in the forest.
One of our neighbours is very good at growing giant pumpkins. It takes at least 6 of us to load his pumkin and squash onto his trailer. Then it's off to the Fair in Windsor

I found this garter snake in my tomato patch this morning. I was worried about scaring him away until he struck my camera lens. He's about 2 feet long and has attitude. I'll pick the rest of my tomatoes tomorrow.... carefully.
Turning Hay at Ross Farm Museum. Buddy liked to talk alot. If I had had a chance to get a word in , I would have liked to tell him that I used to turn hay by hand ... long, long , ago .
